Overview

It is perfectly understandable to hunker down and immerse yourself in your accommodation. Sometimes, that is all that is important. Not everyone comes to Araluen for the same reasons, though. Some want something extra, a special treat, or an adventure. And for those, we have experiences in spades.

Massages & pamper

Araluen is proud to offer special massage and pamper packages for guests to enjoy. Our team of therapists will ensure you leave Araluen feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.  Massages and pampers are available in the privacy and convenience of your room, either as a single or couples session.  Bookings are essential and must be made with at least 1 week’s notice.  Adults only.  Children and infants cannot be accommodated.

Massages can be relaxation (therapeutic) or remedial in style, and vary in duration from 60min to 90min.  Please specify your preference when booking, as well as a preferred date and time.

Pampers typically involve a beauty treatment, such as a facial, foot or body exfoliation, and a relaxation massage.  The order and duration (individually and combined) vary according to the selected treatments.  Refer to the offering and pricing table below and specify your treatment preference when booking and a preferred date and time.

Massages and Pricing

  • Massage 60min (relaxing or remedial) = $145 per person (maximum 2 people)
  • Massage 90min (relaxing or remedial) = $185 per person (maximum 2 people)
  • Pamper Treatment No.1 = 45min relaxation massage + 45min facial = $195 per person
  • Pamper Treatment No.2 = warm foot exfoliation + 60min relaxation massage inc. back exfoliation = $195 per person

Picnics & High Teas

With so many wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces, both on property and in surrounding areas, the options for picnics and high teas at Araluen are endless.

The picnic offering is a portable affair and consists of a gourmet picnic basket provisioned with a picnic blanket, sunscreen, cutlery, crockery, napkins and glassware and stocked with your choice of a bottle of local red, white or sparkling wine and a generous savoury and sweet food hamper.  The hamper comes courtesy of the team at My Little Country Kitchen in Kinglake. Dietary requirements can be accommodated.

Conveniently delivered to your room prior to or after check-in the basket is yours for the day, or for the stay, and can be taken anywhere on the property or locally.  Enjoy in the gardens of Araluen or venture out into the surrounding valley. The choice is entirely yours.  Add a touch of uniqueness to your stay.

7 days a week, day or evening.  Subject to availability at time of booking.  Serves 2 people.

Winery Tours

See and enjoy the best of the Yarra Valley on a boutique full-day winery tour, enjoying fine wine and beautiful food. Tour starts and finishes at Araluen.

The Yarra Valley has an abundance of hidden treasures and this full-day Yarra Valley winery grazing tour. Be collected from Araluen and experience a day where some of the Yarra Valley businesses will be showcased, including sparkling wine and oysters or charcuterie at Chandon– who doesn’t love a Champagne Brunch!

This grazing day tour includes a variety of indulgent food and wine-tasting experiences throughout the day with more gourmet delights than your grandmother’s pantry!

This exclusive small group public tour with a maximum of 10 guests includes tastings at four venues plus charcuterie or oysters at Domaine Chandon.

Tour available Monday – Saturday only. Sunday is on request only.
Price includes pickup and drop off from Araluen.

Hot Air Ballooning

The Yarra Valley is the perfect setting to experience a hot air balloon flight. Victoria’s most beautiful wine-producing region has a landscape of undulating green fields, manicured vineyards and stunning mountain ranges, dominated by the Yarra River as it meanders around its age-old course to the sea. Post-flight, for an extra $45 per person, enjoy a Champagne breakfast, whilst taking in the beauty and awe of the Yarra Valley.

Flight only rate is $420.00 per person (accommodation not included).

  • If you would like to add breakfast please add a comment in your booking and $45 per person will be added to your booking.
  • Child is deemed 6 - 12 years.

Bushwalks & Rides

The Steels Creek and Yarra Valley offer unlimited opportunities to hit the trail and enjoy the natural environment.  Walks and rides range from short local jaunts to extensive journeys.
