Your Stay
What time can I check-in?
Check-in is from 3pm – 9pm, unless otherwise arranged directly with management
What time is check-out?
Any time before 11am
What time is Reception open?
Reception is generally open 8am – 12pm and then again from 3pm – 9pm. We live onsite so are usually only a phone call away
Are children / infants allowed to stay?
Yes, children are welcome at Araluen in our villa accommodation only
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, you will need to leave fur babies at home.
We do have two spoodle dogs, Olli and Billi. You will see them occasionally running around the grass. They are very friendly and safe to be around.
Do you allow events, parties, weddings etc at the property?
We are open to having events on the property. Each request needs to be via email or by calling Rachel. We will scope your requirements and then advise if your property would be a good fit or not
What spaces outside my accommodation can I enjoy during my stay?
Guests are welcome to enjoy the property gardens, outdoor swimming pool and the guest communal space in the Lodge, unless it has been booked exclusively. We will advise you if the Lodge has been booked exclusively prior to your arrival.
Do you have a restaurant onsite?
The property is a traditional bed and breakfast, so don’t have a restaurant onsite.
Our B&B rates include continental breakfast.
We also offer a range of Yarra Valley Pasta meals or frozen meals prepared by a local chef.
Alternatively, we have a local chef that can prepare a two or three course meal for you. This needs to be pre-arranged with at least two weeks’ notice.
In Yarra Glen you will also find a variety of take- away food outlets and the Yarra Glen Hotel have a take away menu. They will also deliver to the property Thursday – Sunday.
What cooking facilities do you offer?
All rooms and villas have a microwave
Each villa has a kitchenette with a double gas cooktop and outdoor BBQ
Guests residing in the Lodge have access to a kitchenette.
How do I get to Araluen?
The best way is to drive.
Do I need a car when visiting the Yarra Valley?
As the Yarra Valley is very spread out, we feel you need a car to truly explore and enjoy the Yarra Valley.
How far away are you from Yarra Glen?
We are 7km from Yarra Glen township. Please refer to our CONTACT for map location.
Can I charge my electric car at your property?
We do not have a registered car charging station, but are happy for you to plug your car via an extension lead to a power point in our main car park.
Teslr charging stations can be found at De Bortoli winery (3km from Araluen) or RACV Resort Healesville (29km from Araluen). Please note you need to be staying guests at RACV to use there charging station
What is there to do in the Yarra Valley?

Can I order an Uber or Taxi in the Yarra Valley?
Unfortunately, Uber and taxis are very unreliable in the Yarra Valley. If you are heading to the Valley for an event or are wanting to enjoy a long lazy lunch or dinner companied by wonderful Yarra Valley wine, we have a list of drivers we can supply for you to pre book transport.
If it is last minute and we are onsite and available we can assist.
Your Accommodation
How many accommodation rooms do you have and do you allow group bookings?
The property offers three self-contained spa villas and a Lodge with an additional four accommodation rooms, each with a private ensuite.
These can all be booked by individuals or in a group booking.
All group booking enquiries need to be emailed to info@araluen.com.au
Can I book multiple rooms or the property exclusively?
Yes, multiple rooms can be booked.
You can book a maximum of two rooms via our website.
For more than two rooms or the property exclusively please call or email an enquiry.
What size beds do you have?
All accommodation offers a king size bed.
Each villa also has the option of a double foldout bed
Can you split the king beds?
We are predominately set up for couples. Our king beds do not split.
Do you offer Wi-Fi?
Yes, we do
Do you have paid television or movie hire?
No, we don’t. But our TV’s I our accommodation all have a Google Chrome device for you to login your own Netflix, Foxtel or ………….. account.
Do you have DVD players in rooms?
Each villa has a DVD player and movie library
Can I organise extra services during my stay?
Yes, we are happy to help organise onsite massages, beauty treatments, wine and cheese, flowers, chocolates, balloons, catering, hot air ballooning.
We are also happy to recommend things to see and do in the Yarra Valley and our favourite eateries.
Do you have spa baths?
Our villa accommodation only provides a double spa bath
Do you have open fires in your rooms?
Our villas accommodation provides a gas log heater. The communal are of the Lodge has a wood burner.
Is your pool heated?
Our pool is solar heated. If we have sun, it will be warm!
Please note we generally only operate the solar heater during the months of October – March, unless the seasons are extended and we find we can run it longer.
Can I invite friends over to use the pool?
Unfortunately, our pool is only available for in-house guests
Can I invite friends over during my stay?
We don’t allow group gathering, unless you have booked the property exclusively and it is pre-approved by Management.
Can I use the BBQ & pizza oven during my stay?

Unfortunately, our pizza oven is currently out of service. Stay tuned though, as it will be back soon, better than ever!
Can I feed the chickens?
Our brood of girls love company and food!
They will eat just about anything, accept citrus. Please feel free to feed them any food scraps you have.
Can I go into the chicken coup?
To keep our girls settled, we prefer you don’t go in the chicken pen. But please go and say hi to them.

How do I amend or cancel my booking?
Please refer to our cancelation policy
If you booked online via an online travel agent, please refer back to them for assistance.
Gift Certificates
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes – vouchers can be for a night’s accommodation, one of our packages or a monetary amount.
All vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of issues and will be subject to the voucher terms and conditions.
Events
I would love to hold my micro wedding, event or retreat at Araluen. Is this possible?
