Lodge Shared Spaces

The Lodge shared spaces are available to all property guests and include a lounge room, sunroom, dining area and kitchenette. There is something for everyone, furnished with plush couches, sophisticated armchairs, private dining for up to fourteen people, and a traditional wood heater.
Entertainment & Event Spaces
With versatile outdoor spaces perfect for meeting, entertaining and hosting intimate gatherings and special events (maximum 30 people including staying guests), Araluen is so much more than just an accommodation venue. Ranging from a large, outdoor entertaining deck to expansive lawns overlooking vineyards and picturesque scenery with something for everybody, and for any intimate event. A DIY venue, the options are endless.

Outdoor Swimming Pool
Enticing you for a relaxing dip and restful laze in the sun the outdoor swimming pool is a welcome oasis on warm Yarra Valley days. Available to all guests of the property and featuring a paved patio area furnished with resort-style sun loungers, shade umbrellas and an outdoor lounge the pool is perfect for lazy afternoons and forgetting the cares of the world.
Gardens
Vibrant spring colours, verdant summer greens and golden autumn hues are all hallmarks of the long-established gardens. The property has a wide variety of outdoor spaces to enjoy and appreciate, featuring cottage-style plantings, mature stands of trees, expansive lawns, and an ornamental vineyard overlooking an enchanting dam.
Lodge Shared Spaces (Main)
Venture into the sunroom with a glass of wine and while away the afternoon in the glorious sunshine. Enjoy panoramic views of the vineyard and local gardens while waterfowl entertain you on nature’s grand stage. And when the sun sets behind nearby hills, retire to the lounge room and bask in the radiant warmth of the wood fire. Introduce yourself to others in the same space. You may just meet a like-minded soul on life’s grand journey.
The Lodge has several shared spaces that are available to all guests of the property*. Enchanting and functional, they include a lounge room, sunroom, dining area and kitchenette. Furnished with plush couches, sophisticated armchairs and a traditional wood heater there is something for everyone.
The lounge room is engaging with a large couch and chairs arranged to take full advantage of the centrally located wood heater. The sunroom is a warm space that can be completely closed-off from the rest of the Lodge to create an intimate and private setting. The dining room features a large period dining table that seats 8 to 14 people and is endlessly adaptable. The kitchenette is a functional space that provides all the expected features, including a full-size fridge, dishwasher, pod coffee machine and extra cutlery, crockery and glassware. For those who venture from their rooms for breakfast, there is also the convenience of a breakfast bar integrated into a large island bench.
These spaces are special and guests are encouraged to enjoy them in the spirit of open, communal spaces. Respect and consideration of others sharing the same space and adjacent accommodation rooms is important and respectfully requested.
* Lodge shared spaces are unavailable to villa guests when the Lodge is booked under an “Exclusive Use” arrangement. Villa guests will be advised of this before arrival, if applicable.
